The "Stage 2" kit for the 47RE is intended to be an "entry level" build kit for your hard working Diesel transmission. It features all of the parts that you'll need to address the weak spots throughout your clutches and gear train (such as increased clutch count in the direct and OD brake clutches, billet accumulator piston, billet intermediate servo cover, etc.), but yet retains the use of your OEM input shaft. We recommend this build kit only be used in application up to appx. 400 horsepower. At power levels exceeding the 400 hp mark, we recommend a billet input shaft, which is included in our "Stage 3" and higher DIY kits.
